Quick-Add Customer / Patient / Appointment Feature

The Quick Add feature in ThoroVet allows you to quickly create 3 new types of records in the system. You can create a Customer, Patient or an Appointment using Quick Add. This will be the most efficient means of creating the appropriate records when booking an appointment for a New Customer/Patient.

To Access the Quick Add section, you can click on the Quick Add Button from the left hand toolbar or from the Main Menu Button in the top left hand corner.

The Quick Add Form has three main sections and functions, Patients, Customer and Appointment. These sections will interact with each other based on the starting section.

Patients – From this section you can create a New patient or select an Existing Patient.

  • New – This allows you to create a new patient by filling in the appropriate details about the patient.
    • When finished click Save & Select to move forward.
    • This will open a field that will allow you to Click on Add Owner where you can Create a New Owner or Select an Existing Owner.
    • The Patient is not created until you complete the entire process
  • Existing – This allows you to search for an Existing patient in the system.
    • Click Save & Select to move forward to next section.
    • This will open a new field that will allow you to then click on Add Owner where you can create a new owner or select an existing owner.

Owner – From this section you can create a New customer or Select an Existing customer.

  • New – This allows you to create new customer record by filling in the appropriate details about the customer.
    • When finished click Save & Select to move forward.
    • This will open a field that will allow you to Add a New patient or select existing patients associated to this customer
    • The customer is not created until you complete the entire process
  • Existing – This will allow you to find an existing customer
    • When finished click Save & Select to move forward.
    • This will then open a field that will allow you to Add a New patient or select existing patients associated to this customer

Appointment – From this section you can create a New Appointment based on the previous selections. You must have Customer/Patient information selected prior to creating the appointment. The appointment fields will remain that same as if you are creating an appointment from the calendar.

When finished you have two options available to Save your work.

Save & Clear – This will Save the items you have created and clear the form to continue working within the Quick Add section

Save & Close – This will save the items you have created and close the Quick Add section
